ACX - Environment

Due to its strategic geographical situation in this central part of the Brazilian Amazon, and based on various patches of fertile soils and alluviums of the tropical forest, which border the Xingu River and its tributaries, large and small rivers and streams, with high potential for biodiversity. The environmental issue surrounding the city of Altamira is of great importance, also due to the territorial dimension larger than many countries in the world and that many states in Brazil, as well as the percentage of preserved nature. Thus, due to environmental transversality, which involves all possible and imaginable themes of human activities, art / culture, education, health, industry, infrastructure, both in the city and in rural areas, the patterns of production and consumption demand sustainability, which imposes programs and training projects in Environmental Educommunication, which ACX has as one of its priorities.
