Altamira and the Xingu region, have geographical indications for community-based tourism for diverse types of attractions, both rural and ecological, both adventure and events, both commercial and cultural, including indigenous and Nature Conservation Units.

Thus, the Xingu River, waterfalls, caves and fishing festivals, religious festivals and literary, artistic, agroecological, ethnic events, economic and cultural fairs, among other attractions. We need more incentives to advertise, disseminate and value the great tourist potential that the region has, showing, as a promising source of job and income generation, particularly in the community modality for a fair sharing of benefits and the exercise of the creative and solidary economy
